This provides intuitive insight into the shape, size, and movement of fish schools—and whether the trawl opening is optimally positioned.
The TS-360 uses a shared multibeam transducer for both trawl sonar and the integrated echosounder. This enables the user to not only adjust the beam width between 10°-40°, but also to manipulate the beam freely towards any direction.
When Automatic roll compensation is activated, it ensures a consistently downward-directed echosounder beam. Ideal for maintaining awareness of the trawl position relative to the seabed. This is especially useful when the sonar is at an angle, relative to the trawl and correction for this is desired by the user.
The Catch Sensor CS-400 is robust, user-friendly, and offers a minimum of 1,500 hours of operating time before battery replacement. Batteries can be easily changed on board.
TS-360 supports up to four wireless catch sensors. The system graphically indicates the number of active sensors in yellow. When a sensor is triggered, indicating that the trawl is filling, the icon changes to red.
TS-360 depth data can be exported to compatible echosounders such as Furuno FSS-3BB or Furuno FCV-38 enabling precise trawl and fish depth visualization within the echogram.
The system is also well suited for trawling operations with extended warp length (e.g., blue whiting), as it supports third-wire lengths of up to 3000m. The real-time data at such distances provides enough lead time to adjust trawl depth for optimal catch. As the fish pass the trawl opening, the sonar reveals whether they enter the trawl or escape through the larger meshes near the opening.
