Furuno Radar FAR-2338S/B
S-band (10 cm) radar with 30 kW transmission power. Minimal maintenance required for the antenna unit, which is designed for minimal wear, including a brushless motor. All signal conversion takes place within the antenna unit, preventing signal loss between the antenna and processor. This ensures a sharp and noise-free radar image. Fast Target Tracking provides accurate and stable tracking of high-speed vessels.

New antenna design offers advantages
The antenna features a new, more aerodynamic shape, and with a brushless motor, maintenance is reduced. Signal processing takes place within the antenna unit itself, preventing signal loss between antenna and processor, resulting in a sharp radar image.
ACE AND FAST TARGET TRACKING
The new ACE (Automatic Clutter Elimination) noise reduction function contributes to an improved radar image the navigator can rely on. Target tracking has been improved and now provides vector information for plotted targets within just a few seconds. Tracking has proven very stable, even for smaller and high-speed vessels.
EASY ADAPTATION AFTER RETROFIT
The FAR-2xx8 series uses the same interface as the previous FAR-2xx7 series, making it easy for users to transition to the new model. At the same time, the user interface includes new quick-access functions that lower the threshold for new users.
The FAR-2xx8 series supports interswitching with FAR-3xxx, FAR-2xx7, and FAR-15x8.
