FAST STEP SONAR WITH STABILIZED TRANSDUCER

The CH-600 / CH-500 is a high-performance scanning sonar that rapidly sweeps around the vessel within a user-defined sector and adjustable tilt angle. At the maximum 24° beam width, it can scan a full 360° in just a few seconds. A powerful motor rotates the transducer element at high speed, delivering a near real-time sonar image.

The transducer includes a high-quality motion sensor that compensates for roll og pitch. This is critical for delivering a stable, noise-free sonar display with accurate echo presentation in all conditions.

This sonar line is offered as two models, CH-600 and CH-500. The CH-600 is a dual-frequency sonar, while CH-500 is a single-frequency sonar. CH-500 is also available in 150 kHz or 180 kHz version. Both models are well suited for smaller vessels.

EXPLOIT THE ADJUSTABLE BEAM WIDTH

The CH-600 / CH-500 is an extremely fast scanning sonar—often referred to as a step sonar—that can scan a full 360° in seconds. Beam width can be adjusted to 6°, 12°, 15°, 18°, 21°, or 24°. During search operations, the beam is typically set to the widest setting (24°) for maximum area coverage. Once a target is detected, narrowing the beam down to 6° provides clearer echoes and superior target separation.

CH-600 – DUAL FREQUENCY DISPLAY

The CH-600 operates simultaneously on two frequency bands—choose between 60/153 kHz or 85–215 kHz. Both sonar images are shown on the same screen, with an optional overlay mode that allows the higher-frequency image to be layered on top of the lower-frequency view, perfect for combining detailed and wide-area information in a single display.
