The antenna features a new, more aerodynamic design, and with a brushless motor, maintenance is reduced. Signal processing takes place within the antenna unit itself, preventing signal loss between antenna and processor and delivering a sharp radar image. A new noise reduction function, ACE – Automatic Clutter Elimination, also contributes to an improved radar image that the navigator can rely on.

Target tracking has been improved and now provides vector information for plotted targets within just a few seconds. Tracking has proven very stable, even for smaller and high-speed vessels.

The model uses the same interface as the FAR-2xx7, making it easy for users to transition to the new model. At the same time, new quick-access functions have been introduced to lower the threshold for new users.
