Ideal for fishing mackerel, herring, and saithe
With a frequency of 180 kHz and advanced signal processing, the Furuno FSV-75 High-Frequency Sonar delivers a noise-free image with sharp definition of all echoes. The sonar excels at distinguishing between the seabed and fish near the bottom, making it ideal for coastal fishing of mackerel, herring, and saithe. Mackerel and herring often swim higher in the water column, but echoes from the seabed can cause interference in lower-frequency sonars. Saithe typically holds close to slopes or complex bottom structures or forms dense schools near the bottom—conditions that demand high resolution and separation, which lower-frequency sonars struggle to deliver. This results in the echo from the two sources of signal reflection, combining into one on the display of a lower-frequency sonar.
