Furuno Sonar FSV-75

SKU: IMD02333001-b
EAN: IMD02333001
Stock:

High-frequency sonar FSV-75 provides excellent detection of baitfish and smaller schools, as well as fish species with weak sonar reflections, such as mackerel and herring. It is also well suited for use in difficult conditions such as currents, temperature changes or the mixing of fresh water. With a frequency of 180 kHz and advanced signal processing, this sonar provides a noise-free image with sharp rendering of echoes and thus is exceptionally well suited to detection of fish close to the seabed. A total of 10 user programs are available to optimize the sonar image for different types of fishing. The FSV-75 BB replaces previous models CSH-73/CSH-70. Retrofit is easy as the new sonar transducer fits in the same tube (Ø: 340mm).

Ideal for fishing mackerel, herring, and saithe

With a frequency of 180 kHz and advanced signal processing, the Furuno FSV-75 High-Frequency Sonar delivers a noise-free image with sharp definition of all echoes. The sonar excels at distinguishing between the seabed and fish near the bottom, making it ideal for coastal fishing of mackerel, herring, and saithe. Mackerel and herring often swim higher in the water column, but echoes from the seabed can cause interference in lower-frequency sonars. Saithe typically holds close to slopes or complex bottom structures or forms dense schools near the bottom—conditions that demand high resolution and separation, which lower-frequency sonars struggle to deliver. This results in the echo from the two sources of signal reflection, combining into one on the display of a lower-frequency sonar.

The FSV-75 offers excellent echo detection from fish without swim bladders and is highly capable in detection of dispersed fish and smaller schools. Its high frequency also ensures reliable operation under difficult conditions such as currents, temperature changes, or freshwater mixing.

DUAL-SCREEN DISPLAY WITH 3D OPTION

SIMULTANEOUS DUAL PRESENTATION WITH 3D OPTION

With the optional 3D license, the FSV-75 supports a dual-screen setup. This enables users to operate the traditional sonar view while simultaneously viewing a live 3D sonar image. This can be done with two dedicated displays or through a matrix solution.

In the 3D view, the sonar image can be rotated and the system presents sonar history in 3D. The license also includes biomass measurement functionality.

3D HISTORY PRESENTATION

HISTORY IN 3D

While the traditional sonar provides a live, real-time view, the 3D option continuously builds a detailed and intuitive visual history. You can clearly track fish positions relative to the vessel and seabed—even after the school has exited the traditional view.

The system calculates the school’s depth and distance from the bottom while using color gradations to show fish density.

FSV-75 BIOMASS MEASUREMENT

FSV-75-3D-biomass

BIOMASS MEASUREMENT MADE EASY

The FSV-75 3D option offers high-resolution data that allows for biomass calculation. By placing a box around the target area, the system displays the estimated biomass directly in the 3D interface. The size, position, and depth of the measurement box can easily be adjusted using the control panel or an external mouse.

FSV-75 TARGET LOCK

The FSV-75 includes a target lock function. Once you've decided to set on a fish school, activate the tracking mode. The sonar will now automatically follow the echo, adjusting range, tilt, and vertical bearing. This reduces the need for manual adjustments drastically, allowing you to focus on deploying the gear as quickly and efficiently as possible.

3D OBSERVATION OF FISH INSIDE THE NET

The FSV-75 3D view is also a valuable tool during net setting and hauling. Echoes from the floats and purse line appear clearly in the 3D image, and the fish school can be seen in the middle of net. This provides full situational awareness of the vessel’s position relative to both the gear and the catch throughout the operation.

FISHING & TRAWLING WITH SONAR

The FSV-75 is a stepping sonar with extremely fast sweep capability, covering 180° in just 8 seconds. During searching or trawling, the sweep can be set to a narrower sector—or turned off entirely. When disabled, the sonar can point straight down or forward at an adjustable angle between 90° and 0°.

ADJUST FSV-75 FOR TRAWLING

When sweep is disabled and tilt adjusted for depth, the traditional sonar image becomes even more useful when paired with the 3D presentation. This setup greatly reduces the need for manual operation while providing rich detail that supports fast, informed decision-making.
